- Join us! Come spend a week, a month or even a year with us. You can volunteer with us through several ways:
- Would you like to teach English or other languages?
- Are you an artist or a teacher at heart?
- Do you like working with children, orphans, disadvantaged women?
- Do you like to cook?
- Would you like to learn about and be immersed in the Pakistani culture?
Every donation, of whatever size, is priceless to us as we strive to radically improve the lives of startlingly disadvantaged children and women. Monetary donations can be made by cheque or credit card.
If you prefer not to donate hard currency, you, your church, workplace, school or organization can donate items for use at One World Welfare Organization. It is important to contact us before beginning any collections as the manner in which items are delivered is something to consider (Go to donate now or contact us page).
If you are going to volunteer with us and you would like to gather some needed items you can bring them with you. These are some of the things on our wish list –
Classroom supplies – white board markers, erasers, seasonal decorations, play dough, pipe cleaners, crayons, pencils, tissue paper, glue sticks, bubbles, paint (finger & tempera), masking tape, Scotch tape, scissors, staplers, poster board, “foam” paper
Balls and playground equipment, particularly “Little Tykes” products . . . wagons, ride-on, tricycles.
Small items (books, Beanie Babies, dolls, cars, . . . ) to be given to our children on their birthday. For many of our children, the gift they receive from One World Welfare Organization is the first time they have ever received a gift for their birthday.
Children’s books and videos in English, games, puzzles, blocks, rhythm instruments, imagination games and toys.
Office supplies – copy paper, envelopes (letter size and big manila), pocket folders.
